dxmaint [filename] -ra -e

I'm having an issue running dxmaint to rebuild automatic indexes.
The file in question is named Master, and is about 178MB in size.
when I call the command
dxmaint Master -ra -e

It successfully rebuilds index A, but then exits after finishing it.
Note that index A is an old-style index, with a single criteria.

I can rebuild all automatic indexes on this file by using this bit of shell:

for i in A B C D E F G H ; do
	dxmaint Master -r -o$i -e
done

Is this a bug that should be reported to filepro, or am I misreading Mr.
Werner's book on rebuilding automatic indexes?

I have successfully used dxmaint [filename] -ra -e to rebuild all
automatic indexes on other files.

I am using 5.0.13D4 (Linux), and the data files in question are actually
being modified by dclerk 04.05.08K7D4, running on MP-RAS. (I'm still
working on getting some associated software to work, before rolling
everything over to the Linux box)
