OT: linux strange error

I'm trying to setup printers for filepro under RH 9.0 but when I run the
command I'm geting this error, I read on google newsgroups that I need to
uninstall cups and reinstall it again, and that's mayor pain for me because
samba is a dependency of cups and I don't want samba to stop working, Is
there another way to fix this ? :
