wish list

Well, I've got one item that Ken suggested we put on the wish list, but I'm
really not sure how. (What's an AC Member? Who is one?)

My wish is for the USER command to be able to support a larger return string
that 255 characters. Believe it or not, this is a verified, undocumented
issue. This is a rather large issue with what I'm trying to accomplish with
the USER command. Granted, for now I can just break the data returned into
separate (over 150) strings, but after researching the USER command and
writing the program, I realized how much time was wasted due to this issue.

Another wish would be for updated documentation. I use (regularly) the
manual found at:

http://fpunixware.fptech.net/fpmanhtm/start.htm

Is this not the newest manual available? Is this not the best document
available?

Along with this, I'd really like to see a "Known Limitations" section added
to this manual. I realize with this comes the never ending "How is that
pertinent", but I think some ground-rules could be designed to make this a
useful tool.

Then again, with this crowd, I could see some really funny write-ups:
"FilePro Plus cannot make toast and butter it for you, but JP wrote this
cool program to tell you how much butter should go on any given piece of
toast based on it's dimensions and density and Brian can tell you how to
boot Linux off of it..."

Thanks,
Tim
