I'm not sure -anything- truly frustrates Ken.  :)  I don't think I've ever
seen him truly perturbed in 11 years.

The problem here was that you were reporting symptoms, rather than helping
diagnose the underlying disease, if you care to think of it that way.  When
someone asks "what doesn't work", you want to narrow it down as far as
possible, to the most atomic operation to which you can trace a problem.
"My header doesn't print," is a symptom, but the actual cause was more
involved--and as you discovered, you were on the wrong track entirely for
quite some time.

He wasn't frustrated, I don't think.  He was trying to get you to closely
examine -exactly- why your header wasn't printing (which it apparently was,
it was simply being overwritten).

Detailed problem reporting borne of analytical observation helps.  I can
pretty much guarantee you that a doctor can do much more for you if you
describe a problem in the context of, "I get a sharp, intermittant tearing
sort of pain right below my elbow--especially when I extend my arm," rather
than saying, "My arm hurts."  You come in with the latter, most doctors
will try to draw you out and narrow it down.  Ken was doing the same thing,
albeit subtly.
