First...

Can you print to this printer using the exact same command as you have told
filePro to use, and not logged in as 'root'?

For example, if filePro is configured with "lp -dfoobar -s" then try:

    echo "This is a test" | lp -dfoobar -s

Make sure that you pass something through a pipe into lp, rather than a
filename on the command line, and make sure you try it as a non-root user.
