Using fP 4.5.09D4
SCO UNIX 5.0
PC's with Windows 98 as terminals to Unix with J. River ICE.TCP
I am having difficulty getting filepro outputs to print on a Lanier 5613
printer/copier using printwiz. Can anybody give me a clue as to what I am
doing wrong?
Here's what works and what doesn't: From the terminals, I can print
printwiz's test pages on the Lanier 5613. And, of course, from the
terminals, I can print fP output on dot matrix printers. From the Unix
console I can print Unix text <filename> to the Lanier 5613 using the comand
lpr -d lp_lanier5613/<filename>.
But, I can't seem to send fP output through printwiz to Lanier 5613, from
either the terminals or the console.
I suspect that the settings in the Filepro Configuration Editor are wrong.
I have tried numerous settings, including the following, without success:
Variable: Printer 4; Value: Lanier, printwiz, lp -dnetprint
Variable: Printer 4; Value: Lanier. printwiz, lpr -d lp_lanier5613
Variable: Printer 5; Value: printwiz, lpr -d lp_lanier5613
On the command line and fP output options sides, I've invoked both Lanier
and printwiz. For example: dreport <fPfilename> -f <report name> -s -pq
printwiz. In this command, I've also used tried -pq and selected Lanier or
printwiz from the popup menu. All to no avail.
Any help will be appreciated.
