You sure that's not in incremental mode? I've seen ATA-160 hard drives<BR>
that would be hard-pressed to write 1.6GB in 3 minutes.<BR>

It's a Master CTAR backup, not incremental. Both the hard drive (LaCie/Maxtor 73 GB) and tape drive (HP Ultrium LTO) are Ultra 320 SCSI.<BR>
