<DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am retiring two portable computers that have
served as my WINDOWS systems for much longer than I would have ever
guessed. But, it is time.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am replacing it with an HP model zd7000 which
has WINDOWS XP Professional operating system.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am having erratic results and no success in
trying to install my filePro for WINDOWS 5.0.4. I made 5 attempts and
finally decided to seek help. HELP!!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Erratic in that some of the installs failed to
include a file called errmsg in the /fp/lib directory. From this install
situation when I tried to run any of the filePro operations I got the error
message: A filePro Error Has Occurred -- On File:
C:/fp/lib/IBMPRO.prt -- PRMESSG : Cannot Open C:
/fp/lib/errmsg -- errno is 0 -- filePro Error Number:
76</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>When the install did include the above file
(errmsg) I got the following error message(s):</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>1. For the CREATION OPERATIONS the error
was: A filePro Error Has Occurred -- On file:
C:\fp\lib\IBMPRO.prt -- lm error: LICENSE EXPIRED.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>2. For the RUNTIME OPERATIONS the error was
as above in some instances and the following in others: A filePro
Error Has Occurred -- this version is licensed for %d users
-- On File: C:/fp/lib/IBMPRO.prt . </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>For whatever IBMPRO.prt has to do with it this
file has always been there.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The copy is a single user version and I am the
only person using the program. For the record I have created another
user name on the computer but its me too.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Can anybody help me get past these
problems?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks in advance!!</FONT></DIV>
