Is anyone running filepro on Red Hat enterprise eight? I?m having trouble getting the filepro menuto appear for users, even after adding the path. I keep getting operation not permitted when running as a user. As root it?s fine.
I have run the setperms but I noticed the group was still all set to root for all the executable in the FP menu

I had it running on RH8, but the customer is no longer in business so I cannot check for you, but it should work.
See if you can post permissions on /etc/default/fppath ../fp/menus, ../fp/runmenu and perms on the menus themselves.
It could also be a security thing not related to file perms.
If you are running fapolicyd, check /var/log/fapolicyd-access.log and also if you are running SELinux, check /var/log/audit/audit.log for clues. You may have to either enter exceptions or disable things if your environment is safe without it.
I generally find each new linux iteration throws me off on at least one security/firewall setting. I google a fix, set it once, then forget it.
