fpGI / PDF Output

OK, so I am struggling with this one, here is a bit of background

If PFPRINTER=popPDF is set in default.cfg, printing a PDF form like

@keyf: printer file "PDF:/...." ; printer type "fpml3"; form "someform";
printer reset

works just fine, a PDF document pops opened and it looks neat!

The problem is that setting PFPRINTER=popPDF in default.cfg causes every
report to go crazy since they were
not expected to be printed in PDF.

Each user has his/her own .cfg document and PFPRINTER is set to his/her
designated printer (other than popPDF).

Changing PFPRINTER to the printer the user is expected to print, causes
PDF forms to scramble, when I say scrambled,
I mean all you see is printer codes, simply impossible to make any sense
of the document.  The only thing that one can
recognize is the image/logo on form.

I made sure that the printed form does not have a printer linked to it
under F8-O but problem does not go away.

Any idea as to what may cause this?  Why using printer "popPDF" in
<input> does not have the same effect as setting
PFPRINTER=popPDF in .cfg file?

Regards,

Jose
