Did anybody ever do any re-writing of the Softa MenuMaster system?

I have two (2) customers who are locked into running the older SCO
Openserver operating system because they still run the Softa MenuMaster
accounting system. Of course, it's getting difficult to find old hardware
that will still run the older versions of Openserver so that I can continue
to install MenuMaster.
Several years ago Jay Ashworth was looking at re-writing the
MenuMaster system in Python. I've contacted him to see what ever became of
that project.
Both customers are small mom and pop operations who can't afford 10's
of thousands of dollars in re-programming costs. And, since I'm now
semi-retired, I don't know if I could undertake rewriting MenuMaster
without ending up in divorce court. <grin>
If we decide that doing anything with the MenuMaster code is not
feasible, both customers would consider moving to some other accounting
system; preferably something written in filePro that I could link their
custom application filePro code into.
If you prefer to chat on the phone, send a private email to
filepromike at gmail.com <mailto:filepromike at gmail.com> and I'll send you my
cell phone number.
Thanks!
