Off topic -printer issue

The stty is coming from the sysv printer interface script on sco.

Another thing to check if a printer works for only certain users is if there
are users listed in users.deny or users.allowed files under
/var/spool/lp/admins/lp/printers/[PRINTERNAME]
(also accessible in admin menu)

Lastly, the hpnp protocol used on SCO for the 'hp print manager' does not 
work relably with recent HP printer firmware.

Brian white had a home-spun printer interface for SCO that used netcat
and /etc/printers that works much better.  Maybe he can post it or you
can pull https://www.aljex.com/bkw/sco/index.html from internet archives
if you want it.
