User Base Growth/Lack there of

John,

You are certainly young at heart.

I work with a number of companies that use quality programmers and I 
have to say that I am not finding many of them understand the basic 
functioning of a computer.  They seem to be trained to use a high level 
software that sets up networks or whatever they are using.  They do not 
have the first idea how to do it themselves at the OS.

I send a message that says "ACCESS DENIED" and it does not occur to them 
that it is a firewall or login issue.  They never know what their public 
IP might be and can not seem to enter a login/password correctly.

It is sad, but we are certainly a bit antique these days.
