filePro & AWS

I thought the new license manager could bind to either a hard drive ID
or an ethernet MAC address. I'd think the latter should be compatible
with AWS, if they're using anything the LM recognises as an interface,
which I'm going to assume it picks up from the default gateway just on
faith, sight unseen.

I'm surprised they haven't done the hosted thing already. Connectwise,
having cannibalised Elsinore Technologies/ScreenConnect and switched it
to ConnectWise Control, is -really- pushing the hosted solution over the
original self-hosted version...for which they keep raising the pricing
to penalise you into wanting to go hosted. Everyone loves their
subscriptions nowadays.

I still say it makes no sense logically. That's like a carpentter
renting his hammer.
