I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH A NEW INSTALL OF FILEPRO 5.0 on a Windows 0 Laptop.
I keep getting an error message that p.exe is not found in c:\Brpkerege\affiliated\fp, when I check it is clearly there.
I have given permission to access the brokerage folder to all authenticated users so I am not getting permission denied error.
Also, 5.8.09 does not require a license to operate. I have installed my clients version of fp as this was what he was running on his computer( a MAC using VMWARE to tun filePro, which worked until a few months ago. I have posted previously about the issues I was having with this version and found that on my system the issues did not occur. When I downloaded his version and tested them on my computers the problem was not there. I have to assume that the issue was with VMWARE and not filePro or else with the underlying MAC OS. A subtle change in an update may have caused the issue of no record numbers and indexes not working,
Warning about Windows 10 S avoid installs using this version of Windows 10 as it will only allow programs and apps downloaded from the MS Appstore to be installed and run.
