Issue with lookup

I have a lookup based i=on filed 1 of the file.  This value is a(6,.0).

Since the lookup is used for more than one field the lookup value is lv. I am receiving an \ov message when I use the value of 477123(Not in the file) but not on the value 47712 which is actually there.

Any ideas why?

I could change the lookup yo use the value of the dunny field used. But this means additional  additional  lines of code.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
