Import field length limit?

Extremely long - how long is that?  ;-)

I cannot imagine a limit other than the set size on the fixed field you 
are importing into.  Any info on this in the fpTech Docs?

As far as I know, filePro will truncate the excess characters if you put 
999 characters into a field set/defined to a length of 99.

What exactly are you experiencing?  Are you getting an error or 
truncated values?

In SQL, you normally get an error (if set in strict mode) if you try to 
store string length beyond the define field size, not the case in 
filepro, filePro drops the excess without any warnings nor errors.
