Try:
|unoconv --stdout [your-report-output-name.txt] | lpr -U [username] -P
[the_printer_name] |
or, you can use libreOffice to do so
|libreoffice --headless --print-to-file --printer-name
[the_printer_name] --outdir /tmp [your-report-output-name.txt] lpr -U
username /tmp/|||your-report-output-name|.ps -P the_printer_name rm /tmp/|||your-report-output-name|.ps|
A lot of us know of libreOffice but I bet few use it as suggested above
- libreOffice could be your best friend
when converting/printing/rendering documents ... Check it out!
Are your clients still using dumb terminals?
Is there a reason why you do not have drivers for your printers?
If your clients use PCs, why can't they open the PDF and print them?
Why would you say that you are just an application developer without
skill set to develop in any coding language?
Obviously, if you are an application developer, you must have some skill
set to develop in some language.
Try the above, I hope it works out for you.
