It appears that the help file is not as complete as the online manual in explaining the effects of a given function. I ran into this difference with the Write function. Apparently the way WRITE operates is not just on the current record but on all file in memory. This is definitely different than twhar the HELP file incates when called in *cabe.
Also, I have found that when I open a second processing table from a menu not dpromenu option 5 with *cabe used on the command line *cabe filename processing table i.e. dcabe foobar input -db the "N" option does not work only "Y" is accepted. This occurs wvewen when rcabe is first used and the dcabe tries to access the same open processing table. The reaon I am debugging the processing table from a custom menu is that I am debugging the processing with dclerk and it id faster to access the processing table from the menu I am on them to open Dpromenu and type in a long file name and the press <enter> an 3 to access the processing table. The menu command line goes directly to the processing table/ I also found that dmakemenu will not take menu name option from the command line as it was never designed to do that. *clerk , *report , *cabe and dexpand are the options I have tried and found will take a file name & processing table option. I have used these.
