They're OK. My primary business connection is a T1, and we also
have Comcast/Xfinity for personal use.

The T1 has rarely been a problem even though it's above ground.
Our most frequent problems with that have been either some tech
trying to swipe pairs in a junction box or problems between here
and the CO. If we're going to have problems with this, it's
going to be on a Friday and our telco provider's service isn't
good over weekends.

I've been surprised that Comcast hasn't had problems with power.
When I bought the full-house generator, I also got a 600W APC
Battery backup for the Comcast and TV equipment which should keep
things going until the big generator kicks in. I do a fair
amount using my laptop on the Comcast via a VPN connection to our
LAN because the Comcast is so much faster than the T1. Now if I
could get Comcast to route my /24 public IPs...

I've been on generator power since yesterday morning, and PSE
estimates they will have power back on here by 9am tomorrow.
It's much nicer than my 3KW Honda generator that would only
keep the computers going, and needed gas every 8 hours or so.
