Re IUA option not working on an Apple Laptop

I have a client who is having a problem with IUA on his Apple laptop running VMware's virtual machine with Window XP and filePro 5.0.9.  I have not been on his machine in over 15 years.  Everything was working fine until late last week, he did the latest software updates.

He tried to put in a new contract and received a message which was based on dates that the could no longer enter contractrs and to contact me.  I took care of this issue but found that:

1: in IUA the system no longer accepted record numbers.
2. if 4 were taken for using an index, pressing F7 did not work either.

I ran a rebuild of all auto indexes and freechn on the file. Neither option worked to eliminate the issue.

Any suggestion as this is his primary file.

I think that this is a system issue and not a filePro issue as he was able to use these options prior to the last update.

No, I do not know which laptop or OS he is using or the version of his VMware program.

I can log into his system in the AM if necessary.
