FW: FW: fatal error: unexpected SIGSEGV in emulator mode

I think you misinterpreted a point I was making. Jose said it was all
about money. I was observing that I have seen clients literally shell
out upwards of 15-20k for hardware, often under-specced, definitely
overpriced, and at least one time not even suited to intended use, and
then complain about $500-2000 in consultant fees required to do
something they needed a lot more.
It was -not- a commentary on anything in particular related to your
post/thread. It was strictly in response to Jose's assertion that
people on the list (and elsewhere) tend to be tight-fisted. In my
experience, that tight-fistedness is very selective, and usually in a
self-defeating fashion.

And with all due respect to very long lasting, capable, and robust piece of software...Any upgrade would be to non-Filepro. Absolutely no need to reinvent existing technology. It is time however, for a hardware refresh, maybe VM, etc. **Yep you're right. They'll spend an arm and a leg for this willingly. But never under-spec'd.
> 3. CRM - That's cute ????
> 4. One last point. Posting to a list is not about getting free, or undervaluing your service, expertise (or person?). IMO, It's about users sharing expertise and common experience. If a list isn't about that, then of what use is the list? As an expert, I'm sure your thoughts and written response took much less time than this email. If I could help someone, I would respond. I doubt many, if any would expect free service, but it's simple to move on and not respond. That said...Thanks for the response.

Nothing says, "I don't value your expertise, or even respect you as a person," like being literally -shown- that your assistance is less valued than shite hardware from a mediocre vendor.

You can upgrade. Contact sales." That's been their M.O., at least publicly, as long as I can remember them deprecating old versions. And they got militant about it when they deprecated 5.0.
