Sounds like a sanely prioritised list. Concur, sight-unseen.

Yes, it should do.

Well, -I- don't work that way, but I know plenty of people who do.
Everyone has different priorities.

What'll -really- tweak my temper into high gear are people who will gladly
drop $15k+ for an underspecced, overpriced system with Dell (and half the
time the specs don't match the needs), and then bitch about a mere $2k in
software or consulting fees to solve an actual problem. Nothing says, "I
don't value your expertise, or even respect you as a person," like being
literally -shown- that your assistance is less valued than shite hardware
from a mediocre vendor.

Fair point. And more even salient when you start talking motorcycles. :)

Dude, I won't go out for a 2hr ride without adjusting tyre pressure if
the temperature fluctuated 20F+. My life depends on that being
reasonably accurate, and I'm a paragon of caution.

They're not going to say a thing. They won't help with 5.0.14; you
really honestly think they're going to utter so much as a peep about
4.5? Nothing beyond, "That's no longer a supported version. You can
upgrade. Contact sales." That's been their M.O., at least publicly, as
long as I can remember them deprecating old versions. And they got
militant about it when they deprecated 5.0.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Not with Ken gone, anyway.
