1/2 etc.

Her complaint is she would prefer it as the symbol, but sometimes it shows
up in filePro as text. She does not know why?

I did a test.

I copied 1/2 in from an email that was plain text and pasted it into
filePro. It showed as the plain text characters.

I then created an email in html format. I type in 1/2 and it converts
automatically to the symbol. I copy it in to filePro and it shows as the
symbol.

I think she just does not notice the difference in the sources but
occasionally she notices the difference in the results (which are quotations
to customers done in filePro).

I've asked her for some examples of the input that supposedly misbehaves but
she has not provided any so I'm going to let this rest unless I get more
information from the customer.

As always, thanks to all for some good ideas.

Regards,
Scott

Scott, you may be right. But I'm trying to remember: which format is a
problem? Or is it just a problem of inconsistency?
