1/2 etc.

Per AnzioWin's help for COPY:
Copies to the clipboard, in text, rich text (RTF), and bitmap form.

I'm assuming that the customer is copying from a Word document, which automatically converts fractions to single RTF characters.
If she copies the RTF-converted fraction, it pastes as special characters in filepro.
If she copies a plain text/non-RTF fraction, it should paste as the text.

It looks like Anzio doesn't have a "Paste as Plain Text" option, so it's pasting it in the same format as the source.
Maybe this something that Bob Rasmussen would consider adding.

A customer is cutting from various sources and pasting into filepro.
Terminal emulation program is Anziowin 17, with Linux terminal type.

She reports that sometimes when she copies the fraction ? (one half) it
comes into filepro like ? (I assume this is a graphic or would symbol be
the phrase) and sometimes like "1/2" (normal sized text characters).

I'm not sure the graphic will even survive the fp list but hopefully my
question is understandable.

I just tried it by cutting and copying from Word and Outlook and I get the
graphic.

I can't duplicate what she is getting so I was wondering if anyone could
describe potential causes.

BTW, it is very nice to see all of you on the list every now and then
during these crazy times.

Regards,

Scott
