[Fairlight]

Unfortunately, fP Tech has made it extremely unattractive to upgrade past
5.0.14.  Lots of places have zero intention of upgrading, or started
towards migrating over the last few years and -still- don't have it in
production for various technical reasons, despite having already spent 
money on the upgrade path.

There are enough people out there running 5.0.14 or lower that termcap is
extremely relevant as a consideration, when the version of the fP
binaries is not specified in the question.
