If you can't move off SCO 5 for some reason and are having hardware
problems, I do have a machine available at a reasonable price.
It's currently running SCO 5.0.5 and we've since moved the client to
Linux, there are no license issues.
Or, we can install yours. I do have just about all versions of SCO and
would just need your license info to do a fresh install. If you want
to do this, I also have 10K rpm scsi drives up to 300 Meg that could be
installed instead.
I upgraded them to this system about 2003-2005 but it still runs like a champ.
It appears to be a PIII CPU, according to the Tyan Trinity 400
Mother Board specs But I can't tell the speed. Probably about 500MB
but I'm not sure.
It's got 256MB RAM and a 40GB Hard Drive, PLUS A SECOND PARALLEL PORT.
It's also got a realtek 10/100 network card.
It HAD an offbrand scsi card but I do have a wide variety of Adaptec scsi
adapters as well as scsi dds4 tape drives (20/40GB).
I'll need to get another case for it because the old one is shot.
This system handled 16 Filepro users very well.
Obviously, I'll remove all the users and filepro so that you can set up
your own. Or I can help you move to it.
There are some extras that I can tell you about, if you are interested.
My name is Dave Duff with Practical Computing Solutions.
I also provide support for SCO Unix and SUSE Linux systems.
If I can help, please let me know.
