** OFF TOPIC ** Transport ELDs

I know there are many people here with experience in the transport industry.
Every one else feel free to tune-out and I apologize for the off-topic post
(though filePro may be involved in the solution).

I'm looking for information and recommendations on Electronic Logging
devices (ELD)s.    These devices must be installed in all transport trucks
by Dec 16, 2019 (US --  in Canada by June 12, 2021),

ELD's are used to automatically collect, supplement and process a driver’s
Record of Duty Status (RODS) and Hours of Service (HOS) data by combining
driver inputs with information collected from the engine’s ECM (engine
control module).

I'm looking for regulation-compliant ELD devices, these connect directly to
the engine ECM, from which we can pull data directly to our project as well
as transmit to regulatory bodies.

Basically I'd like to know more about the devices and how to work with
them. Specifically collecting data from the devices for our project use and
for compliance.

We may have need for a ELD resource person on the project depending on how
things involve.
