Scott,

I expect many are still making their plans, and not everyone who may come
would be on this list.

We are taking at least 5 of our team to the conference. Unfortunately we
have to fly back early Monday morning.

We look forward to the interaction with other developers, seeing some of
what others have done, the keynote, discussing ideas in person with filePro
staff, and learning more about fileProWeb.

We are already using the latest version 6 of filepro and the version 6 GI
(which is hugely improved). I keep discovering more that was added that I
overlooked. They have really tried to build in a lot of the wishlist
items.

About 2-3 years ago we started building the USP into all our pricing
(upfront and monthly) so we could keep clients current. (We still charge
for any implementation services). Since we run all Windows servers now, it
helps to stay on the latest version and build.

I do miss the Unix days, but our current best practice is to use "Published
Apps" based on Microsoft Remote Desktop Services. The user things it is
running locally, but really everything is running on the server. This
minimizes the issues with SMB (e.g. SMB level, oplocks, etc) - and reduces
the risk of malware attacks via network shares.

See you there.
