RE; PDF printing from clerk

I ran into an issue when printing from clerk with 5.8.03.24 and am sure that the issue persists in 6.0.

When I first set up the ability to create a pdf from clerk I was advised to use the function PRINTER TYPE. This worked fine until 5.8.03.24 32 bit. The program would display an error message that it could not find the printer type. The 64 bit version did not have that problem.

I finally changed the PRINTER TYPE function to PRINTER NAME and the program ran as it should.

FP support responded that I should be using PRINTER TYPE as well as PRINTER NAME. I would think that this is unnecessary as the Printer Name already has the type table associated with it.

Using Printer Name also makes it simpler to update or change the print table as necessary without having to change the program. In my case there are 3 different PDF file that can be created.

One other thing, I suggest that PDF outputs use tabs as this insures that everything will be printed in the proper place. Also, remember to remove any leading spaces as filePro will tqb the spaces and the values you want to print will not be where you expect. And Yes, the output layout will look a very odd with the use of tabs.
