fileProWeb

Not even a teaser!?!

If it is not a true web scripting language they better not even bother
with it.  Python, PHP, Perl, .NET or any of the many other web
development tools are very capable means to deploy filePro backed
applications.

If fpTech falls in the trap of "is has to be a batch like or sequence of
if:then statements" they would have wasted their time.

Today, you need session management, cURL and/or WSDL extensions, XML and
JSON parsing and/or parsing, nested array construct and multi database
capability, not just filePro.  This is just the very basic, I'll leave
it to Mark and other in his level or system admin and OS know how to add
the in depth prerequisites to make it as a web development tool this
late in the game.

Oh, if I have to buy a server and host it myself to run this stuff it is
another non-stater, it has to be easy to use and install in any
cloud/hosted environment; or at least, offer hosted services (this could
be where the $$$ is).

I am really hoping they took PHP open source, revamped it and made it
their own thus giving birth to fPHP or whatever ... much like facebook
did (or so it is my understanding).
