Encryption options on Define Files and Encode/Decpde

Bill,

So if I encrypt the entire file, I can see the data on the screen, I can 
do look ups, I can generate reports with the data. But if I try to look 
at the contents of the key file directly it will be unreadable.  But if 
an index is built on protected data the index information is not encrypted.

Do I have that right?
