The h\appl should read H:\appl on a windows machine. Not sure if that was a typo of an error in the envirement.

Hi Richard,
Just a quick thought...
I assume you are setting the name variable after each break. ?If so, have you tried to clear the variable before resetting it?
Hope it helps,Rick Hane

individuals with different code.? There is a code field in the record plus a

I know when the break occurs the output is sitting on the last record of the
grouping for that break.? That is why the name in the heading is that of the
associated record.? I am going to try a getnext after the pafe command to
see if that corrects the problem.

Yes.

The issue is getting the variable to set prior to the heading being created with the proper name. As of now, the name is the one for the previous person. If the report is sorting on code and the code just printed is 1255 and the next code is 955, the name associated with 1255 prints and not 955.

Even doing a lookup using @sbrk1 which should execute prior to the report section running, has the incorrect name even after a lookup is done using the code to get the name.

Another interesting issue, the details start just under the header, with the page function added the details are starting about 2 line down.

I have added to the detail the name and code and this prints correctly for each record.

Richard
