Win 10 slow to open filepro

The answers to your question are easy:

1. Windows defender was made available on Windows 10 not Windows 7.

2. Windows 10 Firewall was having issues with the network call on the port FilePro was using. This would not be the case with filePro just running on the local computer.

I am not having that issue on my MS Surface Pro which runs locally. Yes, I have a separate development license for that machine.

I would also ask "Why doesn't it happen on computers running Windows 7 or Windows 10 computers not connected to a Windows Server?"

My filePro applications were opening very slowly or not at all on my Win10
computer. No problem on the server.

It appears that Windows Defender was the culprit. I had to allow the Fp
folder and p.exe to pass through the firewall. I had done this type of
thing to exclude the programs in my FP directory (folder) from being
scanned. Apparently a recent update deleted that.

So, if filePro on a Win10 computer using Windows Defender is slow in opening
filePro check the defender settings as well as any other anti-virus software
that may be running.
