Android tablet terminal emulator for filePro on Linux

Mike,

Just to throw in a totally different solution to your problem that works if
you are only scanning barcodes.

This works for an extremely large workshop that disassembles, repairs and
overhauls, and reassembles propellers for many aircraft including military.

We use iPods that sit in a wrap around barcode reader that has a pistol
grip and is ruggerdised. We then use the standard Safari browser and scan
the data, in our case several barcodes for each entry, into input fields
and post to filePro via CGI just like any other web front end.

Works great and we have one of these devices at each “workstation” around
the repair shop.

Regards

Ken
