empty records?

Actually records aren't added through this method (I add the records via a standard rclerk instance with a different screen number).

Yes, you are absolutely right-- it would be better not to have to sit on any record.  I haven't considered using @menu--I'll have to give that some thought.

Just tried the pushkey suggestion (both single and double), but no joy...
