empty records?

Apologies for replying to myself, but one more item of interest. Even if I change the processing to include a delete statement, the blank record is still created:
If: 1 eq ""
Then: delete;exit
Copying support at fptech.com to see if they can confirm whether this is a known issue, and if any workaround/fix exists.
