empty records?

OK then that sounds more like a programming issue rather than an 
end-user issue.  But I could also see where such programming issue might 
involve indexing.  (I.e., let's say some of your indexes are not in good 
shape since the upgrade.  If the logic in processing based on an index 
calls for a record to be added, and but some different logic doesn't 
call for the new record to be populated by your program, then it might 
result in the problem you're seeing.)
