ERP under filePro

Hi Eduardo,
Nice to hear from you again.  I am now fully retired at the age of 69.
Yes, I do have a plant mgt software written in filePro.  This is a real world set of modules that has been used over 30 years.  However, I have not reconfigured the modules to be used by others.  I had been looking at doing them as a gui program using either fpgui, fpweb and others but I have not progressed since I have been spending my time working on my N scale model railroad.
Modules include: Bills of Material, Routings, Work Orders, Inventory, Purchase Order receipts, Time Entry, Scheduling and Job Costing.  After we purchased a true full ERP software 17 years ago I tied the filepro modules directly to the ERP system. We updated filePro each night from the ERP system (written in Microsoft SQL) via fpODBC 5.0.14.
At this time I don't know if I want to spend the time to do this and then sell these modules.  I have no idea how much I would charge.  If you are interested I could look in to it and maybe setup a demo you cold look at.
I should point out that all of this is set for running of a Windows network and NOT *nix.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,Rick HaneYore Software Company

 Dear Richard:

I am an old filePro user and programmer since the early days of the
Tandy Model II and 6000

I have developed an integrated system for handling quotations, customer
orders, delivery notes and invoices for our company.

We also have the AR, AP and account modules according to local
regulations and taxes.

Gora is a SME making industrial filters here in Argentina.

We produce standard filter housings and filter cartridges.

We have more than 40,000 code numbers for products or finished parts.

Since these products are oriented to the industrial market the
quantities for each order item are typically small, and we handle in
between 400 and 600 work orders at any time

We also manufacture special filters that are handled as projects.

Since we do not have an MRP, we need to incorporate plant management,
scheduling, machine loading and SCM all integrated.

Or we must buy a new standard ERP with all the inherent pro´s and con's

I remember that you have mentioned some years ago that you developed a
set of applications for an industrial company.

If you can sell it, I would like to have a list of the modules, their
features and  capabilities in order to see if I can integrate them to
our system.

A demo will be also very positive to evaluate it

If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me

Best Regards
