You'll think that right up until MS does away with the current
implementation of console windows, and filePro can't adapt.  :)

I am -highly- skeptical of your conclusion.  Many things could happen to
the frame buffer, but they would be very unlikely to result in the
repeatable assemblage of specific characters in the same locations.  This
sounds decidedly -unlike- the video driver.  It makes no sense, and is an
extreme reach.

Sounds more like something to do with codepages vs the console window vs
dscreen, to me.
