     I don't have any issue with a canned package that is cost-effective and that works for their business situation.  I have assisted a few customers in moving OFF of filePro and onto other canned software packages.  Usually it was a "buy-out" situation where they had a new parent company, but in one case an employee came from a competitor and talked them into buying the same software the competitor was using, and things worked out very well on the new canned software.  However, I've seen more failures than successes.  And when I talk to employees at some of those "successes", I find out that the new software is not working out as well as the old filePro packages worked, but they are going to stay with the new canned software anyway.  (Penny-wise and pound foolish, since labor on the new software is a lot more than the old system is...)
