New printer prints blank pages

I answered my own question - the MFC-L2740DW shows emulation as PCL6/BR3 -
which is same emulation as the Brother printer it's replacing (MFC-7840W)
Also found a few threads via google outlining this exact issue - there are
some 'cumbersome' workarounds using GhostPCL and Perl etc but not a can of
worms I have time for...

thanks for catching the emulation issue - I guess I ASSUMED when it had
Linux support that PCL would work
Shame on me!
