Bob,

Fptech is offering 2 type programs in simple terms

1. Regular program is the purchase of 5.8.00.MM - MM being the maintenance
release. This is a full purchase or upgrade - current version 5.8.00.07

2. Subscription Program - pay a yearly subscription fee and one gets
5.8.VV.MM where VV is the version with some new features and/or functions.
Currently 5.8.02.07 Periodically newer versions are release under the
subscription plan. A subscription is in effect until a new major release is
introduced. i.e. 5.9 or whatever release number is applied.

I have been using the subscription plan as I get to use the new features and
or functions early and can the see how they apply to my clients. My two
largest clients are on the subscription plan as both needed features of the
5.8.02 release and really could not wait for the next major release.

Richard

PS; I don't mind working with these early releases as it interesting to see
what one can do with the features.
