List Status Test-----NEXT QUESTION?

I currently have version of filePro running back to version 3.0. Keep in mind that some of the earlier version will not run on 64 bit Os's.
I still have an older computer running with a 32 bit Windows OS and one even older machine running DOS 5.
I did have a Xenix version of filePro but "loaned" the RS model 12 running it to a client until I had converted their software to run on DOS. I should have reclaimed that machine.
As Bill said, Why would you expect it not to run on the next version of Windows?
I expect that the 32 bit version of filePro will not be necessary as this most likely will be a 64 bit only OS.
One thing I would love to see would be the ability of filePro to make use of all of a chips processors to better balance the performance. i.e. Load clerk in one processor and if a system call is made, check to see which processor has the least load and run it in that processor. This may also make it possible to have Windows run a report or index rebuild in background similar to what the *nix version does.
One of my clients, who used to program filePro, is has hired someone to handle basic report and some other less involved programming. My client has been too busy running businesses over the past 20 years that he has me doing most of the corporate programming. When he looks at my processing table, he realizes how far behind he is with all of the new functionality available. I gave him a copy of the third edition of Stuart Werner's filePro Developer's Reference to help him. That was about 13 years ago. He does have his Profile 16 manual for some programming reference.
