Odd error message

On a Windows server 2012 based system running filePro 5.8, they are getting a filePro message when trying to print a report or using -p to create a txt file.
Message appears "Cannot open print download file f: (white bar)" - can't read the name of the file that can't be opened.
My client recently changed some permissions to one folder. I checked the permissions and added the group "Filepro users" to have write access to the folders.
I have administrator level access and still get this error.
PFTMP is set to c:\fptemp on their remote server which most users log onto. And yes, the in-house users all have a c:\fptemp folder on their machines.
Note there error is to something trying to access a file or folder on their mapped F drive. (On their DB server this is e:\company\filepro\ (F)
Any idea what may be causing this issue.
I have suggested that the db server be rebooted this evening in case the issue is a system lock.
