Getting my fp license to work

Mark,
The later versions do install the service when installing filePro. The
install program includes a batch file that one can edit for manually
installing the service or updating it.
The issue that can arise is when installing an update of just the updated
executables and dll files (windows).
One has to manually stop the service and then restart it. Not difficult.
The other time one may need to stop the service is when the drive serial
number or whatever value was used for the license changed and a new license
is installed. Again not difficult just use the sc command. Sc /? |more
brings up the commands needed for this. Also it lists some useful
additional options one might be interested in.
