Windoze and Filepro

I started looking into going to Vegas for the winter - my job was portable and I wanted to ride my bike all year round. Then it became a light bulb moment - why not just move there? My older brother and nephew are there, as well as my brother-in-law and my mom's widow. Not sure if I can take the heat, but it's worth a try!

I've missed you all - nice to see so many familar names.

I hear you.... I will be 55 on Thursday. When it comes to pole dancing, I am happy that my two teenage daughters aren't considering it as a summer job <g>.

Any particular reason that you landed in Vegas?

JP - I am guessing that Savannah is where your wife has family?

Come on you two -- Story time! <G>

Thanks Laura - nice to hear from you. I'm moving to vegas and don't think I'm up for pole dancing - figure it's worth looking into :-)

Yes, your older version of filePro will work on a Windows 10 box. Don't try to put temp files in c:\ and everything should work ok.

I have been looking at writing phone apps as well. I sold a few, but not enough to make a profit. Good luck. If you crack this nut and figure out how to make a go of it, tell me how you did it.

I've been absent from the conversations here for a few years -- just lurking. Gave up my business to work for the publisher that bought my largest client, and they had no use for my programs or skills. Well, they gave me the ax last month and I'm thinking of hanging out my shingle again.

My skills have become antiquated, so my first order of business is to get a new laptop and try to understand the new Windoze systems - probably Win10. Got rid of the old unix system.

Will my single user filepro be able to work under Windoze10?

I'm thinking about looking into learning how to program apps for phones - I have a few databases in mind that would make good apps. Anyone here doing that?

As always - thanks for any responses.
