Output table freezing

Problem solved. What seemed to be random wasn't.

In writing a table to create a base 10 check digit I made a math error. 

The first 20 numbers of the scan line created a check digit. That check digit was used in the full 39 number to create an second check digit.
 When that first check digit was a zero it caused the table to crash.
