Wow.  :(

I'm not even going to pretend JP and I didn't have our differences over the
years; that would be wholly disingenuous.  We could fight like cats and
dogs.  As John Esak once told me after he and I became friends (finally!),
JP and I were essentially from entirely different worlds.

However, the man was a fixture in this community.  No matter our frequent
personal differences, I -did- respect the man's knowledge and talent.
He was one of the most intelligent and experienced people I've known in
computing circles, and likely forgot more than many will ever learn.

JP's passing is a loss to us all.
