It's inappropriate when you then state that you would not employ someone,
no matter the reason.  Then you have no business wasting their time by
asking further questions of them in the first place, paid or unpaid.  You
obviously don't respect me at all (which is fine), so why waste my time
asking me to clarify?  Does not compute.
